Girl Power Friday!

Happy Girl Power Friday!!

Tonight we feature a handful of ladies..and a band full of men? See what we mean. Starting..now!

Up first we have Martha Divine from Ashley McBryde.  The song’s title is based on an old urban legend around Martha Divine’s Hole in Kentucky. It’s said a young girl in the late 1800’s named Martha fell of a wagon into the creek, got tangled in the vines and drowned. The legend goes if you stop your car on the bridge, turn off the car and headlights, someone in the car must call for “Martha” to show herself. I’m not going into that further because it’s already freaking me out just reading it.

So about that band we talked about before.  Caitlyn Smith is her name and released the deluxe version of her album: Supernova which originally came out in March, at the beginning of the pandemic. In addition to the original 12-songs, there’s a cover of Coldplay’s “Fix You” and a duet version of her tune, I Can’t featuring Old Dominion. You don’t need to wait for the song. We have it here:

Lastly, we can’t forget about one of the stars of this year: Ingrid Andress! She took over Nashville’s iconic Bluebird Café to celebrate the release of the deluxe version of her album, Lady Like. Here’s the title track:
