World Down Syndrome Day Shows That Those With It Aren’t That Different From The Rest Of Us
03/21/19 – 6:04 P.M.
It’s World Down Syndrome Day and we reached out to Blanchard Valley Center to learn more. The BVC’s Melanie Williams said that kids with Down Syndrome don’t do anything much different from kids without it.
Allie Weising from the BVC added that there are many people with Down Syndrome that live and work in our community.
They did add that Down Syndrome can lead to some physical restrictions though. This can affect the heart, eyes, and speech.
