Putnam County Woman Pleads Not Guilty In Child Death Case

A Putnam County woman has pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from the death of her son last year. The Lima News reports 25-year-old Jessica McClure is facing an involuntary manslaughter charge as well as four counts of endangering children. McClure remains in jail on a $75,000 bond.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a report of an unresponsive child at McClure’s Fort Jennings home on November 7th. Ottoville EMS took the child to the Putnam County Ambulatory Center where doctors pronounced the child dead.

Officials have not released the names of the victims in the case.
