Findlay Police Believe Missing Mental Patient Left The Area
(WFIN) – Findlay Police Department believes that the mental health patient that ran away from Blanchard Valley Hospital left the area.
Lt. Ryan Doe reports that police spoke to the patient’s father, who told officers that he has previously gone to Columbus.
The patient also mentioned heading to Cincinnati after fleeing the hospital the first time.
Doe said that the patient doesn’t appear to be a risk to the public.
The male was at BVH for a mental health screening when he fled, prompting the lockdown of a local school.
Another agency found the patient and returned him to the hospital where he immediately fled again.
The male is about 5’11” and around 150 pounds. At the time of his escape, he was wearing hospital gowns and had dark paint on his face.
