Growing up in a one traffic light town, the 24-year-old singer songwriter Eric Sowers hails from the countryside of Sycamore, Ohio. At the early ages in his life country music was an aspiration and dream. He picked up his first guitar during his senior year in high school and hasn’t looked back since. In his music, he is heavily influenced by George Strait, Justin Moore, Kenny Chesney and Eric Church.
Packing local venues night after night with his acoustic show, it was evident that something special was happening. It was then that Eric realized his dream could become a reality and his determination towards his dream could not be denied.
Eric has won various singing contests across Ohio, and along with his band, has performed at festivals, fairs, bars and private parties. Eric and his band have shared the same stage and opened for national acts: Jon Pardi, Eric Paslay, Brothers Osborne, Josh Thompson, Josh Gracin, The Cadillac Three, Waterloo Revival, Jason Michael Carroll, Natalie Stovall and the Drive, and Blackjack Billy.
Eric performs as an acoustic act and also performs with the full band behind him. Combine Eric’s edgy liquid like voice, charismatic smile, sincere modesty, and relentless determination along with the bands musicianship and commanding stage presence, and it is clear to see why they have caught the attention of so many fans.
“Nothing would be possible without God and the continuous support from family, friends, surrounding community and fans,” says Eric. “I owe everything I do to the people around me that have gotten me where I am today. Without them, nothing would be possible.”
Eric and the band traveled to Nashville to record their debut album at Castle Recording Studios with producer by Gary Carter. Gary has worked with some of the top names in country music including Randy Travis and Faith Hill. Songs on the album were written by Eric and the band alongside some of the top songwriters in Ohio.
