Happy 2019!
I think if we could sum up 2018 in one word, it would be: intense.
That being said, 2018 was an intense, yet great year for me. I created goals for myself that I may not have completely met, but I came far enough along that I’m still pretty proud of myself. I traveled to new cities and states, I met so many wonderful listeners and feel I connected with you more than ever, and I got engaged!!!
I think we get too wrapped up in not only our lives, but the lives of others (celebrities, politicians, people we follow on social media), and that eats away at our ability to stop, look around, and appreciate what we truly have. Don’t let the ugliness of the world dictate what kind of year you had. I have so many friends that say “2018 was horrible”, but they’re saying that from the comfort of their own home, surrounded by people that love them, and with all the freedoms the world has to offer. I know that not everyone can say that, and maybe 2018 was truly horrible for them, but if you can find at least one positive moment you had in 2018, it may make you feel differently about the kind of year you had.
For 2019, I plan to continue working (and reaching) on my goals from last year, getting married, not getting too stressed about wedding planning (so far, not being very successful at that), and remembering to never take things for granted.
I hope your year is filled with happiness, health, and calmness.
Happy 2019!
